Zarcrest is currently co-owned by Harry & Margaret Boyle, Miss Zara Boyle & Mr William Harris.

Zarcrest was originally established in 1968 with a Whippet. 1988 saw the introduction of the Miniature Long Haired Dachshund. Ours is a hobby kennel not a commercial one, and for this reason all our dogs are bred and reared to the highest possible standards living in our home as our family pets. Our successes in competition speak for themselves… and the rest is just history. Harry & Zara, are both International Championship Show Judges, Margaret does also Judge but has over the years been the backbone of the kennel, by staying at home allowing them the opportunity and removing the concerns of leaving animals home alone for long periods.

Zarcrest by invitation is a foundation member of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme. This ensures all our stock is tested and approved in accordance with the relevant strict regulations in particular with reference to the DNA and GPRA tests.
